Redner's is an employee-owned corporation, founded in 1970 by Mary and Earl Redner. They opened two supermarkets in Reading, PA. After a steady success from the start, they expanded their operation to other areas. In 1975, Redner's formed an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), making them the first supermarket in Pennsylvania to be employee owned.〔"(About Redner's )."
